What?

Gotta Have It has established consignment guidelines to help you. These guidelines will help keep the quality of our inventory consistent so the customers know that they will only find quality, like-new items when they shop.

Please remember because of the volume of items we receive, we cannot take every item that is brought in to consign. Please do not be offended if we do not take some of your items. Currently, we are taking up to 10 items (only 5 pieces of clothing) per consignor, per visit.

As a consignor you will receive 40% of the selling price on all items, including clothing & shoes. We price all items for you. You may call, come in or check your account online anytime here.

Items remain on consignment 60 days for clothing and shoes and 90 days for everything else. As a consignor, it is your responsibility to pick up any unsold items by the expiration date. Unsold items that are not reclaimed by the expiration date, will become the property of Gotta Have It.

Clothing Items (5 pieces)

We accept like-new quality clothing, shoes, jewelry, handbags, and accessories. Items need to be still in style, stain-free, wrinkle-free, free of pet hair, folded or on hangers (which we will return), and freshly laundered. No garbage bags, please.

Furniture

Furniture must be pre-approved, in excellent condition, very clean, vacuumed without piling, tears, broken zippers, pet hair, odors, excessive scratches, watermarks, or stains.
Furniture items NOT accepted: fabric/upholstery, entertainment centers, mattresses, particle wood construction, exercise equipment, and baby furniture.

Seasonal and Holiday Items

All holiday themed items will be accepted between 30 and 60 days prior to the holiday. All seasonal and holiday items must be picked up by the day after the actual holiday or they will be marked down to an extreme low until the end of the consignment.

Household Items

All items presented for consignment must be in good working order with little wear, very clean, dry, and free of all odors, chips, cracks, stains, tears, pet hair, and piling or they will be refused. Lamps must have matching shades, no tears or stains. All lighting fixtures/lamps must have working bulbs. All clocks need to come in with working batteries. Dinnerware, flatware, and glassware need to be in even place settings, 2, 4, 6, 8, etc. Small kitchen appliances and gadgets must be in working order with all parts. Silk florals must be free of dust and in season. Table linens must be laundered, folded, labeled, and in a clear resealable bag ready for sale. Wall decor must be in good condition and not in a dated style.

Household items

NOT accepted: Items in dated colors (peach, blue, pinks), Southwest décor, goose, or heart motifs, bed linens, window coverings, opened games, puzzles, CDs/albums/tapes; exercise equipment and electronics.

Books

We accept titles that pertain to decorating, gardening, art, crafts, travel, woodworking, coffee table books, bathroom books, novels, children’s books, and magazines less than 6 months old that pertain to the above topics.
We do not accept: encyclopedias, auto manuals, dated medical books, paperback novels or textbooks.

We No Longer Accept

Brands including Faded Glory, Dots, Fashion Bug, Deb, White Stag, Gantos, Kmart, Fruit of the Loom, Joe Boxer, Hanes, Basic Edition, No Boundaries, Route 66, Piper Blue, Forman Mills, Bobbi Brooks, Steve & Berry, Also, clothing with shoulder pads (not just taken out), pleats (skirts/pants), heavy floral prints, long pattern skirts, stretch top pants, vintage clothing (some exceptions), boxy/non-fitted blazers, clothing without label and/or size, homemade clothing, destinations or plastic jewelry. Country decor (goose, wooden hearts, etc), Boyd’s Bears, Dollar Store items, simple vases (must be decorative or unique), used candles or burners, cracked or peeling shoes, dyed shoes, clothing that is hemmed/taken in/altered in any way or lingerie.
